Update history for the White Lotus preset (SillyTavern version).
August 12, 2026
- Separated the default ST prompt blocks out; "Main Prompt" is where your character/card's main prompt override would go, SO make sure to toggle that on if you need it
- Put POV/tense options as proper toggles
- Changed the naming convention for the filename so it's compatible with WL extension's updates

- Changed the Default parameters after doing some more reading on them
- Slight tweaks to XML tags
- Moved After Char Lore to...after {{char}} info. I liked the idea of keeping it all together, but in practice it can end up with messy XML tags if you use those in lorebooks (which I do). So I've moved to keeping character specific lore in the After Char slots, world lore in the Before Char slots. ANYWAY, you can move it back if you liked the former structure

- Upped the context limit again even though it's against my preference XD but JUST IN CASE it was causing issues when this is used as-is (for people who don't use a method of chat compaction — though my recommendation is 16–20k context, use a summary extension too, drop older messages, you will get the best results and most coherency this way)
- Split the User Autonomy prompt into its own block so you can flip it off if you use the new Storyteller Narrator Style
- Tweaked the genres and moved the Style Reference into a variable, plopped that at the end so it has a stronger influence
- Tweaked the wording and combined some of the main prompts (again, I keep going back and forth on this); the goal was to still have the LLM driving the plot forward but without forcing it into the dreaded MELODRAMA hell
- I did revert to my longer Narrator Style prompts...like, I know intellectually they should be less efficient, they're certainly more token heavy, but they really do give more believable output
- Fixed the trackers; there was some repetition of instructions, and I realized that if I hadn't used them in a long chat but then turned them on, they were positioned too high to be effective

- Tweaked the main prompts again, so they're longer BUT I think they're better at getting interesting prose; split them into 4 parts too. Generally you'd want to leave them all on, but you don't HAVE to.
- Switched Sci-Fi genre instructions, put the old ones in "Space Opera"; added new Grimdark Comedy genre; revised all the old genres
- Bit of rearranging
- New Custom Tracker prompt block; it's empty, so you can put your own trackers in there if you want. Or if you have the WL extension, create custom trackers THERE (in settings) and run them in a separate call

- Reorganized and tweaked the main prompt, moved the romance instructions there
- Tried to instruct for neutrality, but have a separate toggle to darken stuff up (nice with sweet GLM, Kimi is an asshole if you use it)
- White Lotus has an extension — much easier to manage toggles and such with it, also it has some additional perks like SillyTavern UI tweaks and chat styling

- New Kimi wranglin' prompt, primarily for Kimi 2.6 Thinking which slurps up tokens. It'll even let me use the CoT yay (basically impossible before)

- Reorganized and tidied up stuff
- I'm a Regency fan ( ˶˘ ³˘)♡ but I tried tweaking the original Diction prompt so it works for any Historical setting
